Days 146 and 147

I am taking one blog to talk about two days or more accurately one night. The damned cough continues caused say the medical people by the acid and bile. For this I have been given some tablets. It's also been suggested I take Gavescon. In addition I am taking some medicine for a dry cough.

Sadly I have to report that if I lie at the wrong angle the acid bubbles up into the mouth. This in turn causes me to cough, which in turn produces more acid and bile. This is something of a vicious circle. I ended up sitting in a chair and sipping water to calm things down. You will not be surprised that as a result I had a sleep this afternoon.

It is important though to stress that in any recovery from cancer you have good days and not so good ones. On a positive front I am eating more at one go. Meat however remains something of a problem in that it does not reduce in size before swallowing but I seem to do better with fish and with vegetables. For example tonight Ev put together some fresh salmon with salad and I was able to eat the lot.

It's time I caught up with the Sunday Paper. More tomorrow.
